Born and raised away from the metropolitan environment, @awhm.music originates from the Australian capital of Canberra, though he has since made a permanent migration to Berlin where he has embraced the opportunity to refine his sonic direction over the last half decade. A dedicated consumer and creator of trance music, AWHM’s production style draws clear influence from old school goa, psytrance, jungle breaks, and tekno, most easily recognised by his ability to combine driving basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and scattered percussions to transport audiences through uncharted psychedelic realms of fast trance music. Evolutionary by nature, he’s managed to leverage extensive experiences that led to a self-taught studio process which now stands out in one of the more niche corners of electronic music. MC MYASNOI is a Reykjavík based bimodal band that performs either deconstructed experimental electronic pop or experimental electronic emo anime drone/doom- metal. Music of MC MYASNOI is a beloved child of technologies, sound and visual art, mindfulness and chaos magic, joy and rightful anger, frienship and love for exploration, and cute animals, beautiful plants, fishes and insects. The core roster consists of Yulia Vasileva, Ronja Jóhannsdóttir and Jökull Máni Reynisson. In its current electronic iteration, the band also includes their usual collaborator and bestie Jón Albert, on vocals. Another feature in the set is - Kridds Kísi of Graphic Futanari and King og Bong, joining MC MYASNOI on one of the tracks on vocals. Over the last three years, MC MYASNOI has been frequently performing and collaborating with local as well as international musicians, as well as regularly working with visual- and performance-artists. They have been releasing their works through the Post-Dreifing D-I-T artist collective, that they actively participate in as members. His most acclaimed releases yet ‘Dehumanized’ - including a remix from Matrixxman on Exos’s label Planet X - and ‘Parallel Series 7’ on the legendary Mote-Evolver imprint owned by Luke Slater, drew attention from many of the most respected artists in the scene. Iceland’s constant change of weather patterns and diversity in its distinctive nature has a big impact on the daily life of LaFontaine. He channels this into his productions, resulting in a range of different sounding music mostly within the techno genre making each release distinctive.
